Maybe I’m missing what you’re trying to say. That’s the factory edition that you linked to. The hard enduro version is different. https://www.ktm.com/en-us/models/enduro/2-stroke/2025-ktm-300-xc-whardenduro.html Maybe you’re confused because they are both “hard” enduro bikes, which actually isn’t true as they are delivered from the dealer.
I saw one of those at a rally once that had been setup as a scrambler. Looked like it would be a blast to ride just about anywhere.
Perhaps, I have seen dyno sheets that say different, however we all know dyno's can be fudged with a few key strokes.
990, mapped, full exhaust, claiming 115 at the wheel for sale in the SuperHooligans group as a comparison point.
just so we are all on the same page here- are we discussing the new 2024 990 Duke (parallel twin), or the older 990 Adventure/SD model (V-twin). Not that I would be averse to hearing what the old 950/990 bikes will do on a dyno (I've never put my SE on the dyno but would be fun to do it some day) but I think Kurlon is talking about the new 990 Duke in the SH class for MA and assuming Britt is talking about the 950/990 Adventures of yore.
I was referring to my 2008 Super Duke "R"..it was a limited edition to be fair, in addition to the differences in the standard SD by the factory, it has had other modifications by the previous owner..and is not the run of the mill SD.. The other 950/990 ADV/SM/SE is 90- 100 hp stuff..no argument.
It’s simply got the extra Powerparts trinkets that will be smashed 5 minutes into a switchbacks section.
This thing is why we love KTM’s. No one else makes hard edged fuck you stuff like this. New MT09SP isn’t too far off but these things are absolute weapons. https://www.ktm.com/en-us/models/naked-bike/2025-ktm-990-duker.html
cone valve forks are not just bling Fan, brake disc guards, are things I’d have to buy and install myself. Do you race enduro?
I don't think they're gonna put one in a Kramer. Think I saw someone ask about it in the AMA thread with Markus
Nice. I have a 16 300 race that I’ve done the same on. If you’ve never ridden on well setup wp cone valves the factory model might seem crazy. It’s actually a great buy
Thank you. That’s a long video, will try and get through it sometime, but at least I have an idea what it is. At first when it was mentioned in this thread, I thought it was a certain set of features on a KTM. Like M on a BMW car or RS on a Porsche.
