If you start seeing them cheap and thinking of buying one stay away. I had one go bad under warranty and was told they are going out of business. They won’t honor their warranty and have no parts for me to even purchase to fix mine.
It looks like polaris is selling the 3000s under their colors. I was able to find new parts on amazon and ebay. Carbs, the throttle solenoid that gets goofy all the way up to new inverter units direct from China. I just replaced a inverter in a 3000. They were plug and play identical parts. I'm guessing from the same company that built them for kipor .
That sucks. I've had one for ten years or more and it still runs great. Hopefully parts will still be available for awhile.
I gave my kipor 3000 to my son. He sold it for good money. Replaced it with a honda watercooled twin ES6500.
Interesting. I deal with Kipor dealers all the time and haven't heard that they are going out of business. I might have to look into it. Might be a good time to get a cheap generator.
