Latest word from Erin (as of 7am this morning) is that, best case, he'll have to wear a brace for six weeks or, worst case, he'll have to have surgery. Either way, it sounds like he is going to be okay. Scott is a good friend of mine as well. All of us here in Columbus are pulling for him and wishing him a speedy recovery. John - There was no airfence where he hit, only tires.
Wow, that's a long way to ride to get to the wall, glad it wasn't worse and thoughts headed out from here as well!
WOW, that sucks.. I'm glad that he is going to be okay.. I just found out about it. Scott is a tough guy, he'll pull thru just fine I'm sure! Get well soon man!!!
Our thoughts are with you Scott.. I talked with Scott last wednesday, and the news I received this morning is a shock.. Wish you the very best, speedy recovery.. Will be in touch as soon as you get home... My thoughts are with you... Bea......
Talking to Scott about 2 strokes and then watching him go around the outside of a 749R into T5 at Grattan a few years back was one of the reasons I decided to buy a 125. He seems like a great guy. Get well soon!! Jay
Yea, if he ran off at the hogs pen, he must have hit the tire wall that is in place for the TV cameras. Definatly a long distance.
Sorry to hear this. Thoughts and prayers out to Scott for a full recovery. Please let him know that the Red Flag Fund can help him out if he needs it.
Just heard, Get well Scotty. If there is anything you need let me know. My Cell is 574-377-0827. Scotts a great dude and an amazing rider!! Does anyone have a contact for him? Thanks Todd Urig
Damn. Heal up quick Scott. I'll pass the word around to the AHRMA peeps. I know they'll want to hear.
I broke my C6 and C7 at VIR in March, they will take good care of him I'm sure... good sign if they are transporting him in a van as they put me on a backboard in an ambulence for an hour and a half when they moved me.. If he needs anything - any advice or questions have him email me... [email protected] The brace sucks, but its better than surgery!
Scott Smallwood I'd like to report that Scott is now back in Columbus resting at home. He will need to see a specialist in about a week to determine how the healing process is coming along. Please keep Scott in your thoughts and prayers. Jeff
