Pat Mooney is fast. Not to mention he has been racing forever. He has a ton of experience and is consistent. The thing about people with his skill/experience combination is they simply don't mess up. Sorta like racing with Rojas, he doesnt mess up. If you are following him waiting for a mistake, it isnt going to happen. I think Pat qualified like 6th or something for the Daytona AMA SS race. Don't quote me on that because i have slept since then, but he was up there somewhere. But then he had mechanical issues. He also had grid/timing issues. I forget the whole story, but i remember it was some BS. He came to Jennings with us and did a Speed Academy last year. IIRC he was running like :17's-:18's or some shit on his Buell. And he is a really cool dude. He hung out with us for a while and it was entertaining. Caesar likes him too. He sent me a lil note on facebook yesterday about Jennings; i hate i couldnt be there.
Good meeting you Laird, met Chuck and Jackson also, Jackson was on the gas on that little Honda! Light turnout but there were some great battles out there yesterday in a few classes. Beautiful day to be at the races, I even saw a couple of fags show up on Harleys to watch the races. They must have been lost
We had a great time. Draik seems to have found his groove on the 250. He got his lap times down to 1:32's which is a lot lot better than when we were there in December, running :45's!
Hey this is chris aka the green zx6 that you guys were across from. I just wanted to thank you guys again for all the help. Had a great weekend and look forward to running into you guys again sometime soon.
It was great meeting you guys. Glad you put the battery in and were able to get in another race. Hope to see you again soon.
Oh gotcha. I've seen you on here forever so I'll have to come introduce myself next time and put a face on the screen name.
Thanks for the compliments Laird, Chris and Jeff, I really enjoyed the weekend. The weather was perfect and there was some good racing out there too. It's good to see the young kids being so enthusiastic and serious about their racing, they are our future! I was a bit surprised at the fairly low turnout, especially as it was a double header. As was said before, I really hope that doesn't affect a decision on this event for next year. PMooney Jr. Who were the guys on Harley's? Pat Mooney.
........for when you can't think of anything good to say about somebody. Im not saying that is the case here, that is just what it sounded like. Like when somebody is slow, or erratic, or an asshole...about all you can say is "his bike looks good". Hey wait a damn minute, im often told my bikes look good.
Yep there you are, I recognize the bike in the avatar lol. Nice meeting you as well and thanks for the help.
lol... Chaotic...you also have a long hose. :wow: Jennings might try to charge you $50 to hook that thing up. They tried to shake me down for $20.
Well noted, I'm going out to kick my bike over as we speak. Also I pray I'm none of those guys you describe lol.
I cant remember what she charged me last time i took the TH to Jennings. I dont remember it being outrageous though. I wish they had more big concrete pads and 50amp outlets in the paddock though.
