Calm down, I wasn't talking about that you homos. I was pulling my tractor and mowers home this evening on my flatbed trailer. Headed down the interstate doing 65 mph, when I noticed a Jeep Grand Cherokee coming up behind me really fast. She never even checked up. She smashed into me so hard that it bent the rear wheel of my bush hog up underneath the mower. It actually moved that tractor forward on the trailer about 6 to 8 inches even though it was strapped down, and smashed it into the finishing mower that was in front of it. I'm glad I saw it coming as I was pushed onto the shoulder and was barely able to keep the whole rig out of the ditch. If I wouldn't have seen her, it would have been much worse. She had to have been doing 90 mph or more. This is only three weeks after I got rear ended in my wife's car while stopped in traffic.
Yeah, at least I got paid the first time. That certainly helped "ease the pain". Hope this one has good insurance too.
Stop bending over in traffic ... do that stuff in private !!! Sucks to hear , driving home Fri I seen a crash the front bumper of an F150 made it clear to the back seat of a G6 guy musta been flying when he hit the G6 and was on I71 so a 4 lane road
Not to me, but I guess everyone has their preferences. Yes the cops came and filled out a report. They didn't seem to be particularly concerned if she was drunk or not, but I suspect that she was on something. I left before she did so I don't know what happened to her. She certainly seemed strange to me. She never even got out of her car and seemed very lethargic when I checked on her to see if she was ok. Maybe she was in shock or something, but how do you run into the back of a large truck pulling an even larger tractor in broad daylight on the interstate while travelling at speed?
I dunno. Maybe this chick had the same affliction the bicyclist had when he face-planted into the back of my race trailer full-tilt-boogie on a sunny summer day. That affliction? Being fucking stupid. In all seriousness, glad you're not hurt and your butt-hymen is intact.
Dayum :wow: To bend the trailing wheel on a hog would take a mean whack, I think on mine that it's 3/16" or 1/4" steel that holds that assembly together. What kind of trailer? Heavy duty equipment trailer or a flat lawn gear type? How bad did the crash mess that up? <edit> What about the jeep?
Is it true that you were listening to 'DangerZone' and trying to "hit the brakes so she would fly right by"?
Driving while distracted - texting, internet surfing, talking, whatever.... I always wonder if it is possible to get access to a mobile phone bill under a subpoena to see if they were using it at the time of the crash...
