How would have WSBK 2009 turned out with Bayliss

Title says it all. Just thought I would throw it out there for a little discussion. Spies has some serious talent, but would it have been enough. I am thinking Spies is about on par with Bayliss talent and skill wise, but that Bayliss would have taken the championship on consistency. It was an awesome season to watch. Just wonder how cool it would have been to see it go down with another badass on the grid. Ok Fight!

Not necessarily, if the team made the same mistakes made this year. Can't afford to make those gifts to Bayliss.

If Bayliss is there, is Nori on the DUC too? On days when Ben DNF or mechanical, Troy and Nori fight for the win and steal points from each other. I think Ben wins by a larger margin.

 

I agree that Spies would have won. For me, Bayliss is the most entertaining rider to watch simply because of his super-aggressive style but I think Spies is more calm and calculated and ultimately faster/smoother.

 

There would have been a substantial amount more of whinning and bitching.

Or Fogarty etc, etc. Or NO. Bayliss running was entirely possible this season. Just like MM although that horse has been beat to death.

What if Rossi had decided to win MotoGP and WSBK in the same year?

 

Ben is the better rider.
But Bayliss would have scored more points then Haga and probably would have taken the championship.

Poor Haga San. He has mad skills. Just always seems to push it to hard and ends up in flames. I guess if he backed off a bit he wouldn't be fast enough to run at the top. Wish I had that problem.
