Just wondering if anyone's got experience with this particular trailer. I'm hoping to load a gsxr750 and ninja400 in a Uhaul 5x8 utility trailer. The inner dimensions are 4'3.5" width which is barely enough room for the handlebars. I know it's possible, but is it going to be a nightmare strapping these in? Any advice or input is welcome and I apologize if this has been asked before, but i searched and couldn't find anything on this specific trailer. Thanks ~Nick
I fit an RZ350, MZ Skorpion and a CBR900RR into the bed of my Titan, and it was 5.33' wide. Put one forward and one backward, should fit with room to spare. Oh, and I hardly had to strap anything
I've managed to stuff two sv650's in a 5x8 cargo trailer. I use the Pitbull restraint system and I built a small ramp and platform to elevate one of the front wheels. I did this so the bars would clear each other because it's a tight fit. I couldn't do this with tie downs. The platform is about 2 inches tall...
A typical sport bike needs 18 sq ft of floor space to transport unscathed. Usually they are 33" wide at the bars. So one will need to ride backwards. Use scrap 2x to make wheel chocks.
I used to fit 2 R6s in a 5 X 8 enclosed. 1 forward and one backwards. Wheel chocks and tie downs, nothing fancy.
When you set up the front wheel chocks. Make absolutely sure they can't slide around on you. There's not much to strap them to the front besides two rings sorta at the bottom corners. I had to use a few pieces of 2x4 and a strap to make sure it couldn't go anywhere.
