I ain’t cooking. My local Men’s Club spent all yesterday and last night cooking BBQ pork, chicken, and camp stew. Headed over in a few to pick my order up.

Chicken breasts, hot dogs, burgers, brat patties … for lunch. Might do a marinated flank steak for dinner.

We bought a Blackstone griddle this weekend, I have no idea why we waited so long. These things are amazing. Something will be cooked on it today :D

    Nothing like a pool party.

Mediterranean spread to start (cheese, homemade charcuturie, olives, greek salad, tabouleh, hummus, pickled Persian cucumbers, bread, crackers).

Main BBQ -- Texas brisket and Al pastor tacos.

    4 beers on draft.
    Watermelon agua fresca.

Yeah. Denise just got a Blackstone for the camper. She’s all excited. We used it at Nelson Ledges first time and brefasssss was pretty tasty.

Dogs and burgers on the grill and some beers. Hopefully I’ll still have all of my fingers tomorrow.

Family potluck to co celebrate my Aunt's 85th. She rode into her 60s. Had 4 wheelers and jeeps too. Stoked to see family from all over and possibly blow some shit up.

Maybe some fried rice with lefvetor pork tenderloin or leftover brisket. May just do BFD with some biscuits and gravy and eggs. Dunno yet.

Marinated Rib Eyes in Soy Sauce, Sugar, Pineapple, Ginger, Garlic.

Made some fresh "thermosman" margaritas with lime juice, orange, and some agave syrup. Going to the sand bar around 3, Fireworks at 9 if we're still standing!

Wife is working (ER) as usual, she says it's grill explosions 11AM-8PM, after 9 is when the fireworks injuries start rolling in. Be careful out there!

It's raining again so no outdoor cooking, I'll just
spend the time reflecting on Independence Day.

Some guy in town already managed to injure himself bad enough to call
for a life flight on Friday and the fire department has been busy for days.
Booze and fireworks don't mix. And for my neighbors two houses down,
including guns with that mix is really pushing it, guys.

I cooked a sirloin, in a pan, on the grill yesterday - used clarified butter in the pan for the first time. Yummy!

Good timing as it has rained off and on all day today.
