Times like these make me really HATE this sport. I knew Peter and his dad only just barely, mostly from them being fellow Pac NW racers and being at the track with them a few times. Being the father of a racer myself, I can't even imagine what his parents must be going through right now. My sincere condolences... Godspeed Peter Lenz. You left us far too soon.
Having Peter in the RW booth was awesome. He was a cool and respectful kid. I almost couldn't finish working today after I heard the news. You will be missed, Peter.
Godspeed Peter, my condolences to his family. My thoughts are also with the other young man involved in the accident, I pray he does not bear a burden for something that truly was accidental.
So tragic. RIP Peter. Condolences to the Lenz family, and to the other rider invloved. This sport is horribly cruel at times.
I can't even fathom loosing either of my kids, terrible tragedy, Godspeed young Peter and prayers out to your family.
Absolutely horrible news. I just posted a thread the other day about Peter after reading that he was going to be racing here. I don't even know what to say.....
When I heard of this tragedy I expected that something would be said in the way of a prayer or a moment of silence. Did I miss it or did the track drop the ball? I would think that the first and best place to honor a racer would be at the track. Rest in peace young man. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
