watched mine pass a yr ago... hardest thing I've ever done.. even tho my gma passed 2yrs before... will say don't give a shit what any think hardest thing for me..make fun fucking don't care but she was always there for everything I did.. so kiss ass!!!she was there and asked... and made an honest effort even tho she was hurting...apologize if most have an issue... but your bad asses wouldn't ever be here if if wasn't for mom!! so maybe respect!!
I personally never got the wife thing...she's not my mother. Our kids do something for her, but I never have. My mom died last June, so it's just another Sunday.
You made me do a little research and I'm a little surprised, because I assumed it was a manufactured holiday. Interesting that the originator abhorred the commercialization. https://www.britannica.com/topic/Mothers-Day
I love my mom,but the current x- cop dickhead she's been dating the last 4 years is enough for me to keep my distance. I've had enough of the different step dad's and boyfriend. They have all been pos men. Wish her all the best, but if there's a turd out there she can find it
Hmm. A few facts I did not know of. I could see myself buying white carnations, in a pinch, and thinking nothing of it. And what about the Dad's raising daughters as a single parent? Fathers, and Fathers' Day', are probably not as important. I'll be riding my bike that day anyway. Although Jarvis had promoted the wearing of a white carnation as a tribute to one’s mother, the custom developed of wearing a red or pink carnation to represent a living mother or a white carnation for a mother who was deceased. Over time the day was expanded to include others, such as grandmothers and aunts, who played mothering roles.
Funny how STT always has Barber booked on Mother's Day. Perhaps Trevor has an interesting back story on that.
