i need to add some more fork oil, is it as easy as taking off the cap and adding oil? do i need to do something with the preload setting knob/rebound screw?? i'm not sure if it lifts off together as a unit? 07gsxr600-gp suspension cartridges/oem caps thanks everybody, all help is appreciated.
Basically yes, but if You just taking off the cap You can not measure the actual oil level. Just add some oil. To measure the oil level, You need to remove the cap, remove the spring, then You can measure the level.
If you want to add oil, start with Maximum 10 cc which is maybe a tablespoon. You can add that without removing springs. Measuring air gap it is a different story
