Wow, $400 a day, but I guess that's the price for limited the track to only 35 riders. I'm guessing Polen and Scassa will work with an individual throughout the day? Don't think Scassa has ever been on that track, so that should be interesting. What's the VIP suite consists of? Food, water, etc.? Rain policy?
We don't have any structured instruction planned for the coaches - kinda "hey Luca, how about showing me the line through turn one?" deal. Scassa has his own racing school in Italy, so he is an experienced teacher; He has never seen the track other then some onboard videos. The VIP suites are hotel rooms on track, i've stayed there before - they are pretty nice, and you roll out of bed, have some wheaties, and stroll downstairs to your bike! youre right about the price, but I think we have something unique to offer!
So the suites are included with the price? In other words, you get to stay the night before? If so, that's a really good deal overall.
if this goes well were planning a similar day at laguna later in the year; also west coasters are welcome to fly in and rent a track bike- we have a race prepped r6 or two to rent!
Luca Scassa is out but Larry Pegram is in! as well as Eric Stump sign up! we dropped the 1'42 requirement - any intermediate and advanced rider can sign up. we just want to make sure you can hold your line.
I'd be VERY interested in this same deal at Laguna, even if it didn't include lodging. Tried to find a track day bike to rent out there and it was pretty much impossible :-(
This should be awesome, pissed that I cannot go! Demian and Ryders Alley are good people - don't hesitate to sign up for this
Isaltyko, Sounds like this is going to a lot if fun, I live 45 minutes from the track so no suites needed. Does that change the price? Thanks
Does 1:42 at Thunder qualify for an Inter group? That seems a little slow - not trying to start some shit - just an observation I am actually not sure what an Inter pace is at Thunder? I know stumpy is running 25's and 26's and a good advanced pace is 1:30 - to lets say 1:34 - There's a big difference from 1:30 to 1:42. sorry flame away FYI - I do like what you are doing and am considering this as an option for trackdays! Good Luck with it!
As much as I would love to find 35 people who do sub 34 for this event, I doubt that's a reality. Were just trying to make sure that people that are on the track are able to keep their lines and be comfortable with being passed. From my experience, and I spent maybe 15 days at tbolt this year, most advanced group guys do mid-high 30's, and 1.30 flat puts you in front of most amateur ccs grids, so thats pretty quick. I curious to see what happens when Larry and Doug try to duke it out
