Sorry if there is a thread on this. I could not find it. Anyone watching? Looks like Andrew Lee is subbing in for someone on Team America.

I think the workd of Andrew Lee so really hoping he goes well. But I don't get why Rocco is not there!? This would have been a great opportunity for him to shine.
There was a thread on this somewhere awhile back but who knows where. Glad you brought it back up as I kinda forgot about it.
Looks like Blake qualified 10th, Hayden Shultz in 14th, Andrew was down near 19th I think, and Mallory just behind him in 20th-21st for the Supersport class (R7's). Max Toth was top N.American rider also in 10th or so - looks to be some seriously fast racers there - Blake is 1.5 sec/lap back from the African racer on pole on the R7 - he's got a half sec gap to the rider in second.
Not hating, but there's no Americans at the sharp end in either class at the moment. Maybe race craft can come into play, but there's a lot of riders who've been using different machinery and never raced at Jerez that're doing well, so that can't be the only issue. Interested to see where they take this event. I'm a bit suspicious if Dorna isn't just throwing more things out there that're FIM sanctioned to maximize their portfolio and limit competition for offering alternatives.
Iozzo is Declan Rosmalin’s teammate in the Junior GP series Stock class on R6’s. He’s a regular podium guy and won the last race of the year in the Spanish series. Clinton Seller is his teammate, who raced Supersport here with P1A Yamaha in 2009. Toth is a regular in Moto2 guy there also. Hopefully another good night’s sleep and our guys can move up a bit!
Aldi Mahendra is in the 300 class and he just won the WSBK 300 class championship this year. Even though he qualified 6th, I think he'll be fighting for a podium or win. I bet he could do well if he found a way onto a Moto3 bike. I wanted that class a lot this year and the level of competition was so intense!
Its the hard ass asian Dunlops they are all riding on.And some other teams have more seat time here. The commentators were commenting the Americans were kinda judging corners off some other teams for reference for what the tire was capable of
I've never teen so much blatant tripping of other teams in qualifying! Raising up mid corner, hands up for no reason, run a little wide, and throttle chop the whole group!! And Davis has to hope Scholtz doesn't try to clean him out again!
On the contrary, I think Blake Davis and Max Toth are as good as anyone- Max should have an advantage since he's been racing in Europe for years now. These one off weekends are tough- new bike, new crew, tires? new track....all it takes is one small mistake and you're trying to come from 10th on the grid against guys equally as talented with more local knowledge. Stars would really have to align for anyone to get a win- let alone one of our guys / gals. When Rocco got hurt, Kaleb threw his hat in the ring, but they went with Andrew instead. Kaleb thought he had a good shot of getting the ride, having finished second in the 2020 Championship on the Yamaha and of course winning it another year. But Andrew Lee is currently racing with MA where Kaleb did not this year. We can only assume that had an effect. Glad for Andrew getting the opportunity, he's a great guy. Hoping to watch the replay of these races!
