dave3593 What I know about opera I learned from Bugs Bunny

Ducati made 350 V twins that were not imported into the US. They are from the correct Era.

Very pretty bike you got there.

I don't ever remember seeing or hearing about them in the UK in the 90's either so they might well have not been imported there either, hence the confusion,

350 and 650 Alazurras. 1985 - 1987. Not imported into the US. Italian market. Cases were the same size.

    Cheers,

    Dave

After about a year or so of working on this project, the TT680 replica sees the light of day. I even took it for a short (and very illegal) zip around the block. It's not fast, but it looks cool and sounds amazing with that exhaust!
Here's hoping I get it out to the track this summer, and wobble around a bit...!

This thread is killing me! Now I want to find a 600 Pantah and make it a big bore track bike.

    I have a bunch of 650 Alazzuras you can use as a starting point . . . .

    Cheers,

Well, three cheers for me -- I finally made a decision on the direction of my TT replica/restomod/frankenbike. Will do a full strip over the winter to powder-coat the frame, but I've driven a whole 9.2 km (so far), and I think it is basically "done"! [IMG]

Frame powdercoated and rebuilt. 848 oil cooler installed. Essentially "done". I'm wondering what it is actually worth, now that it's all together??

Probably half of what you've got in it. Isn't that always the way...

Bummer, I can't see the "done" pictures. The "before" pics look like a cool project though.
