Whatever it was busted a bunch of ribs (I know, airbag on the way) but I can’t figure out what I landed on.
Wolfe's right..you're thinking, and I was too...that it was something from the outside..but if your back protector has a honeycomb pattern in the impact absorbing materials....the built in one, that's how that pattern got impressed on the leather.
ding ding ding, we have a winner! Tucked the front for some unknown reason, but its possible i bottomed the fork. Pancaked me on my left side, think Bastianini’s testing crash. A shiny new titanium collarbone, 5 broken ribs (2 separated at the sternum) and a broken wrist later, and I’m looking for a 2nd track bike.
Ribs broken are usually from something hitting them, not just a lowside. Possibly your bike came into you afterwards and smashed you. I crashed at Barber turn 1 and would have been fine until another bike slammed into me and broke 3 ribs. I feel for you man. Will take time. Look into K Tape to relieve some of the pain but really its time.
Not bad. Bent subframe, crunched upper fairing, and wasted rearsets. Now it’s an even MORE clapped out SV.
Sky, dirt, sky, dirt times a million. Somewhere between 65 and 70mph according to RaceBox. Loving RST even more now. Only some minor tears in stitching on the left hip.
Ouch! Broken collarbone = you're a real racer! Im jealous, but not jealous of the broken rib I hear they hurt pretty bad. Is this recent?
Middle of September. 6 weeks since surgery, so well on the mend. Ribs took over a month to stop hollering at me every minute. I’ll be riding again here again in a minute.
Damn dude! The first photo made the crash look like a relatively slow crash like you just lost the front and slid out. The imprint of your BP was weird in this idea. But, damn, you explained it. Glad you’re okayish enough.
I no shit didn't move for 3 days in the hospital bed. I mean not an inch. funny thing was, I drove myself a little over an hour to an ER closer to home. When I asked for my pain pills to go, instead of an IV so I could drive home, they strapped me down and stuffed me in a CAT machine. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug.
