Also check our Teamwear - SpEd and Beth are importing it and I really like what they've had - some nice ventilated stuff that isn't too expensive. http://www.teamwearus.com/Welcome.html

I'm a dealer for Beth & Special Ed's TeamWear, They're the manufacturers rep and distribution, and I buy through them, so there's no conflict there. I've even been embroidering a lot of stuff for them, to help them get started.

Not to detract from our resident specialists, but we found it much more economical to order the shirts online ($25 a piece qty 12), then have a local embroiderer do the lettering and graphics to our spec.

They came out to about $70 per shirt at quantity 12, which was almost half of what everyone else quoted us (for the same design spec, which was not fancy - most of the quotes we got were in the $130 area). This was about 2 years ago.

That sounds about right to me. $25 dollars is a good price on the crew shirts for a mid-grade in-stock shirt. $70-25=$45 So basicly you spent $45 on embroidery. On small orders we normally charge about $7.95 per location (based on stitch count) so if a person wants a decent stock shirt embroidered on both sleeves, left & right chest, and a simple large back logo (total of 5 locations) $70 is about what we would charge. When I do AMA teams that want custom shirts built around their color scheme, or guys want huge embroidered logos and 11 different locations per shirt then they do get to be around $140-$180.

I'm not speaking for any other companies, nor am I trying to start a price war. I just wanted to clarify, what may seem to some, a rip-off. There are a lot of ways to do crew shirts from Sublimation, to Embroidery to T-Shirts. I wouldn't want a smaller team that's never ordered shirts to assume that it's just too expensive.

Obviously I am a little biased on the topic of the low cost shirts. We looked at everything that was available in the states before we decided to import Teamwear. The fabric and manufacturing quality are what you end up paying for. If you look at both shirts side by side you can tell the difference between a high quality shirt and a mid to low quality shirt. The Teamwear shirts don't fade and they hold their shape, this is important if you want to just toss it in the washing machine. We also have a full line of matching jackets, polos, fleeces, shorts and pants. Mongo mentioned our new line of shirts that are made of a durable lightweight fabric that breathes well and is vented on the back. Finally, the most important thing on our shirts, at least in my opinion, NO EPAULETS!

We've had John Hart do hats, T-shirts, team shirts and other stuff for us over the years and have never been disappointed with the product or the service on both the big and the smaller orders.

I got 2 for $75 out of Taiwan. They feel really nice but they may come apart in the rain. We shall see.

I can have them made out of real good stuff, except there is really no market for it (too small)..........
