Just ordered one because of your great review. Have watched a few videos on the suit... looks good. My first airbag suit and looking forward to the peace of mind.

Sweat is the killer of leathers from the inside out! Wash no detergent, dry well and oil with good leather conditioner. Spidis of the rack where the best fitting of all leathers I have had . And I have had Dainese, custom Syed custom vanson , Komodo, and the ones I have had for about ten years now are the Japanese grade R S Thichi and they are the best all around that I have had! Go see Moto liberty and talk to them , top notch sales and services!

Had I known it would have been half as good as it turned out to be, I would have bought 10 of those mother fuckers on a credit card and just kept them in my closet. Would have had a phenomenal suit to wear for the rest of my life. Best off the rack suit I've ever tried on. At 5'10" and 190, the sleeves are about 1/2" too long (54 EURO). Literally my only complaint with it.

A few months back I had my hands on a new-old-stock but decided to keep using my astars race rep, which is a fantastic suit in it own right, but I still wish I had grabbed that trickster. I've been keeping an eye out for another one to pop up for sale.

I still wear my 1st gen A* race-rep and honestly, it's been the best suit I ever had. I even bought the GP Tech V1 thinking it would be just as good. Sadly it isn't. Not sure if they changed the cut but they aren't the same.

I've been eyeing this suit as well... how is the fit compared to other brands; specifically, Dainese? I wear a 52 Euro in the Dainese Laguna Seca 5 - would I be a 52 in the RST?

Thanks! Awesome write up! I was reading conflicting contradictions. Majority were saying kangaroo was tougher for, and better abrasive resistance.

I wish someone would do a you tube video with a belt sander and weight on top to see how long each matierial lasts

I've had cowhide suits that were junk after one crash, and roo suits that were indestructible. I've also experienced the inverse. I don't think it's as simple as comparing two materials. There are more factors in play.

I'm wearing a Astars Absolute in kangaroo now but it hasn't seen the tarmac yet.

Like they always say you get what you pay for.
A lot of the off brands are made in the same place.

Yep. There's no way that all leather used by every suit company is the same strength. And companies use diff thicknesses, diff layering, diff stitching, and many diff other materials that all impact how well a suit holds up.

My Dainese cow and roo suits were comparable in crashes. But the roo suit was lighter, more flexible, and didn't have that uncomfortable break-in period.

Am I the only one old enough to remember when racing leathers were made of horsehide?

If racing leathers were made of pigskin, would it smell like bacon when you crashed and slid?

I hear majority of suits are now made in Pakistan, I tried looking for a suit manufacturer none show the website, I kept seeing fake dainese/alpinestars suits

A buddy of mine got a $750 kangaroo suit. He was trying to have an extra suit as a backup... then started wearing it as a primary. Its heldup pretty well to 2 fast crashes.

You remove the salts and then condition with mink oil when done and they will last longer. ALL leather suits need this regularly. Kangaroo just doesn't last as long as cowhide, especially if not conditioned often.

    Steeltoe What's my move?

I remember Berik made a suit in both hides. The roo suits famously were one and done. The cowhide suits far more durable in multiple get offs.

The weight difference was amazing though, roo is super light.

One just needs to compare the respective jumping abilities of cows and kangaroos to be convinced. Science.
