My BMC RACE filter has about 2000 track miles on it and looks decent but I'd like to clean it.

Has anyone cleaned their BMC RACE filter and if so, what cleaning kit have you used - BMC, K&N, TRD, etc? Based upon some quick research, it seems that all of the cleaning kits from the various manufacturers are near identical. Any thoughts on this?

I use K&N filter cleaner on mine. I run it almost dry (very little filter oil) after cleaning.

If you give me your filter when you give me your forks and shock to refresh, I'll clean and oil it for you. No charge. I've got the BMC and the K&N cleaning and recharge kits at the shop.

for cleaning... I just use a mild soap like dawn. Let it drip dry in front of a fan and then hit it with belray spray oil.
