The propylene glycol thing is kind of overblown, that stuff is in all kinds of food and drinks. I’m okay with the flavor but the hangovers are terrible so I try to stay away from it. I don’t like that they’re allowed to call it whiskey when it isn’t though.
I’m not a fan of egg nog, but I made my own with aged rum and it was great. Dry shake good rum with cream, eggs, vanilla extract, sugar and cinnamon. Then shake with ice, strain and grate some fresh nutmeg on top. Way better than the shit they sell in stores.
Same here, switched back to Jager for shots. Really need to find something else I like though, may just go back to chilled decent vodka.
Agree, and add a food whiskey as an option. And even though Fireball is for pussies...it's a good add to eggnog. It's about the flavors mixing well and fireball is a good choice. Don't add too much of any liquor though, it'll mess up the taste. It's a delicate balance.
I'm feeling a bit queasy at the very thought of such a noxious concoction. Even Mexicans put run in their eggnog, although they call it rompope.
Do you use all the same booze options to dose your eggnog ice-cream? Asking for a fat kid that lives in me.
