Does anybody have any feedback on boots for big/wider feet? Sidi's are too narrow, Alpinestars are better but still not quite wide enough . . . I've been told Gaerne has one of the widest footbeds. Right now I'm wearing Alpinestars SMX5 in a 49 and its still a bit too narrow . . . Anybody have some experiences in that regard?

I wear 12EE in Danner, 12EE in Merrell, and 12 4E in Nike, and the Sidi's fit me very well, in 13. But I haven't bought new riding boots in 8 years....

Size 14 here. Sidi makes good stuff but you might also look at TCX. Most of their stuff (including the high end stuff) comes in bigger sizes.

I don't think Gaerne's road stuff comes in large sizes but I love my Gaerne MX boots!

    Sidi Vertigo Mega's

thanks everybody for your input. I've decided to go with the Sidi Vertigo Mega's. I measured my foot at a shoe store and although based on the measurement I'm far away from a EE, I've heard from several other sources that a lack of width would cause my symptoms. I'd rather have them a bit too wide than too narrow. I'll see when I get them.
