More details below. As far as I know there are 30 only in North America. https://raresportbikesforsale.com/featured-listing-2009-bmw-hp2-sport-2/
The bike was the R1100S boxer cup replica. It was a really good show. I traded in the one I had in Mamola colors for a HP4 competition.
This is the problem. There was another one for sale in Whitby, Ontario. The owner gave up and keeps it for now.
I currently have a 2004 BCR but the HP2S is the holy grail bike for me. I actually sold the BCR and was lucky enough to buy it back after suffering 3 years worth of seller remorse....
I can say from experience that these 2 bikes are day and night. I did not miss the boxer cup replica after I bought the HP2 Sport.
I do like these bikes but they cannot be imported to Canada. Just like the Ducati 851/888/916 for instance. Complete nonsense.
Don't know why that would be true. Just worked with buyers in Canada recently on two other Bimota that I sold. No issues that I know of.
Bimota is not in the list of the registrar of imported vehicles. https://www.riv.ca/VehicleAdmissibility.aspx Even if it were I don't want to pay custom fees and 13% of taxes.
Interesting. Sold two to two different people and did not hear of any issues at the boarder or getting them on the road.
