The shield uses a "magnefusion shield closure system" to lock it in place when down. Basically a fancy way of saying it's a magnet. Five intake vents (1 chin, 4 across the brow) plus one exhaust vent allow this to ventilate extremely well. Pretty sure that is what Bell is going for with this one. The fact that they put modern protection (ECE 2205 rated) into the old school looks is cool.
