Horrible. I was glad to see the care they gave him tho. I almost quit watching motogp after seeing both Simoncelli and Tomizawa dropped off stretchers in their haste to move riders.....

 

Reading the medical press release makes me think he may have severed his aorta. It's a very common deceleration injury where the aorta tears away from the heart and death is pretty instantaneous, meaning they probably couldn't do anything to save him and he probably didn't suffer.

I hate days like these. Love the sport but it can be unbelievably cruel.

 

After FP4 and qualifying, it looks like everyone will be fighting for second place behind Marquez. The new sector four is a much needed lifeline for the Honda riders.

 

Damn, Marquez has definitely found something in that Honda, that was impressive!
