Anything else like a Race Tech Shock Clock on the market?

So Race Tech used to make a data acquisition piece called the Shock Clock for measuring suspension travel without going to a full data logging system - https://www.racetech.com/page.aspx?id=37&menuid=96. They no longer offer it. I have some research to do for my day job where I need to measure deflection in a span when high speed loads are applied, and this thing looked like a good tool to do that. Does anyone know of another freestanding measuring device that would be able to do the same thing, and record data of the reactions? I am going to need at least two of these things, so ideally I am trying to stay under a grand per unit.
