Anyone convert a KLX125 to minigp?

It will all be worth it when you finally get to crack the throttle open and unleash all 17 horsepowers!

 

Where did you pick up a raised seat for the 140, or did you just buy one of the foam kits and build it up yourself?

Not yet, but schools out in 4 weeks, so here’s hoping I can make Whiteland soon.

EDIT - got the dirt wheels on it and blasting around the bottoms here locally though

Sorry guys, school got out and I’ve been on the road with the family camping pretty much since Memorial Day. TX, OK, TN, GA, SC and still rolling. Last summer was a wash with the COVID silliness, so trying to make up for it.

Once I do get to the kart track, I will give the lowdown.

 

OF COURSE I’m afraid of it Todd! The idea of crashing a 17hp mini bike is more daunting than a 200hp superbike!

Hey RRP, did you ever get a chance to take the KLX to the track? Any areas you felt needed more work on it?

 

Unfortunately no - Changes at work and I spent my summer taking 18 hours of classes to get my Driver Ed Endorsement.

That said - the mini will be the first bike out come spring I hope. The track in Whiteland IN opens pretty early in the year, so maybe Feb/March.

I’m torn between getting a KX65 or maybe upgrading the wheels on the 140 to a 17” slick setup like you have.

 

Whiteland has been underwater unfortunately. Been a really wet spring.

 

Oh, you kind of in my neck of the woods. Remember G&J Kartway in Camdem Ohio is only $10 bucks for a day. OMRL has the facility all next weekend. Saturday practice, Sunday racin. Trial by fire the only way to go!
