Hi Yall! I'm set to get my F3 RR race bike late this month and I think the race season is going to start in March, so I was hoping to get all the parts together in the mean time so we can prep the bike quickly and still have time for a few track days before we grid up. For some context, I haven't raced in many years, so I'm not remotely up to date on what to use and I had previously raced an R6, never an MV. What are the MUST HAVE parts you've used, preferred brand(s), and also are there any parts to AVOID? I'm thinking off the top of my head: Bodywork brand? Rear Sets brand(s)? I got levers covered Can I ditch the ABS altogether? ECU? Can I flash the stock one, do I need a race ECU? I'm not doing Moto America and from what I heard theirs is a bit neutered. I'm not super picky about suspension. Are cartridges worthwhile? Is the stock suspension good enough? Full Ohlins swap? Do I NEED a bigger radiator, or is it more of a you "should" get one What's the easiest ignition bypass? I heard I might want to use titanium (or Reparto Corse) valves. Is that a MUST or just an expensive treat? Anything else, let me know. The clock is ticking!
I see these guys at the track all the time. Worth a call to ask their experience? I don't know any of them well enough to ask by name. https://www.repartoveloce.com/
The subframe you want is here. Just call Fred at Yoyodyne before you order so you're sure there's no muckery with the ABS unit or anything like that.
What series/classes are you interested in doing out here? CRA, CVMA, AFM? I'm sure you already know to take a peek at the rule book before you start spending a bunch of $$, just thought I'd remind ya And please do a build thread of that beautiful beast!
