I want 5,000 to equal 0.0175

So then…. What would 0.00683 equal ?

What would 0.0039 equal ?

All based on the top 5,000 = 0.0175

OK, I have respect for math. Algebra, Calculus, Trig. All of it. So it pains me to write this.... because 5000 can NEVER equal 0.0175. But, IF you are saying what factor can MULTIPLIED by 5000 to equal 0.0175...then its. 0.0000035

Factoring 0.0000035 out of the other 2 numbers is:

5000 * 0.0000035 = 0.0175
1822.857 * 0.0000035 = .00683
1114.286 * 0.0000035 = .0039

Is that what you were asking??

I'm trying guy but I can't make any sense out of it. Its not algebra (at least not *correct* algebra).

One discreet number can NEVER be EQUAL to another number. I.e.

5000 = 0.0175 doesn't work.

My guess is what you want to say is this:

5000 * X = 0.0175 (where you are looking for the value of "X")...
