Got this today from Gustaffson: Thank you for trusting Gustafsson Plastics (aka bikescreen.com) to help you enjoy your ride with high-quality windshield products! My father immigrated from Europe and started our company in 1968 to create windshield solutions that didn’t exist on the market. Today, our customers recognize us for our commitment to quality and excellent customer service. We’re going to keep that up! By now, you may have seen us promoting motorcycle body components under the Airtech Moto brand. Earlier this year, Gustafsson Plastics acquired Airtech’s catalog of molds to provide a one-stop-shop for motorcycle enthusiasts who want replacement windshields or bodywork panels. I’m happy to announce that we’re rebranding to unify our messaging to the community and I want you to be the first to know. Over the next several months, Gustafsson Plastics and Airtech will become GP Cycle Works. We’re excited about building this brand as the premier source for high-quality replacement motorcycle bodywork panels and windshields. But we can’t do it without you. We’re enhancing many facets of our business for the benefit of our customers over the next few months and we hope that you’ll continue to trust us to help you enjoy your ride. What’s New Right Now? Gustafsson Plastics (bikescreen.com) and Airtech are now GP Cycle Works. Expedited order fulfillment is now available on all purchases. Our Custom Solutions department is now live and ready to serve you. Have an idea for a part that’s not in our catalog? We can help you design it! We now offer an expansive catalog of over 3,000 motorcycle body panels and equipment. Check it out here. Please keep in mind, that link is a temporary website while we create a new one. Bikescreen.com has new windshield configurations added weekly. Explore what’s available for your bike here. Free parts in exchange for sending us your original so we can continue to build our parts catalog! What’s Coming? More brand updates as we transition to GP Cycle Works (including a new logo). A members-only online community with options for education, meeting other enthusiasts, helping others, and special offers on our products and services. More educational and how-to video content to make DIY installations even easier. Scratch ‘N Dent offerings for riders on their wife’s budget. Again, thank you for supporting us. If we can answer any questions or help you decide which windshields or body panels are right for you, feel free to reply or call us. Sincerely, Zach Foster President & CEO Gustafsson Plastics & GP Cycle Works
Do better than that, ya crusty old turd. Order some glass for some vintage ride collecting dust in your gay-rage!
Spoke with Airtech(GS? Idk what to call them currently) earlier this week about fairings. Their standard lead time on most parts is about 7 weeks. If you want sooner (4 weeks in my case) there's a $100 expedition fee. According to them the prices from the website hadn't been changed since 2005 so their real prices were about 40% higher than listed on the website.
Just saw in one of my FB groups that Gustafsson plastics(windshield people) got all of Airtech's molds. https://bikescreen.com/pages/search...Eg_aem_TSnQqKmjVFrF9S-f5ilxzg&mibextid=NOb6eG
It's more than a 40% increase. I got a price of $1,600 for a set of 1999 R7 bodywork. Ended up with Sebimoto for $800 delivered. Hopefully they work on the resin an create a more Sharkskins style product. I'd pay double for that.
Yeah the prices are kinda absurd these days, especially with Gustafson, $549 for the upper for the RC45 vs $215 for an upper from Motoforza or $180 from Sebimoto. I think I'd go with either of the later ngl.
Plus I think that they dropped the Yamaha and Kawasaki fairings (Don't quote me on this, I may be wrong). But neither are featured on their website. Some good stuff for a few bikes is gone if they don't produce stuff for either manufacturer.
Prices I’m seeing on Sebimoto for the bodywork pieces I’d like to replace, say vat not yet added. Showing nearly an additional 100 bucks each piece when I go to checkout. Makes the Gustafson stuff I need slightly cheaper out of pocket, plus it’s made here. YMMV I guess depending on what you’ve got
I always intended to buy the Ducati 250 SS kit. It has more than doubled in price. I don't think I can justify spending $2000 on bodywork for garage art.
Have a look at Glass From The Past, don't know if they've got what you want but from what I remember they were cheaper than Airtech (when it was Airtech).
