Well i received my Erion FX kit from Airtech. Well made in typical Airtech fashion. Sturdy, not flexible.

I contacted Zero Gravity and Gustafson about making a race screen for it.

    The Erion racebike project continues....

    BrentA Very expensive.

    That's good.
Glad to think tooling isn't scrapped. Lots of time and effort goes into those things.

Well that's a good thing to hear, hopefully they get a good amount of those molds as some of em will most likely NEVER be seen again after they go off to somebody

He sold his inventory like any business owner with a brain would do, especially inventory so unique and with so many years invested. So much for your ridiculous and epically stupid “trash your life’s work” theory. You proposed your dumpster plan with such bravado and confidence as if you’ve done it yourself many times. I believe YOU have.

News flash there is plenty of comments from them that they were throwing their molds away... I have a friend that ordered several sets and they told him they had just filled up dumpsters full...

    Also this was a reply

" you are about 1 month late.... almost everything has gone into the dumpsters
we have about $200k in inventory yet to dispose of but the production facility has been discarded
    thanks for reaching out
    Max"

so you might have to put that in your pipe and smoke it.. lol jus sayin.

Would be nice if somebody bought the molds and would do something with them but I haven't heard anything official I haven't seen any news on any motorcycle sites so I'm just going to assume they trashed em all, and now the owner like all retirees is heading off into the sunset to try to enjoy the last decade of a hard life.

What was truly disappointing is many of us have older bikes and multiple ones it would have been nice had there been an announcement instead of a rapid fire shut down 99 cent store style..... A lot of us as enthusiasts would have had a chance to pick up what we needed.

I need a couple race suppers I got to start doing a search for now...lol

Are you still angry about this? Whatever happened to you, I'm truly sorry man.

Why do I get the vibes that your like the Steve Buscemi character in Billy Madison. You know where Billy apologizes to him, and he crosses the name off his hitlist, then puts the lipstick on and decides not to kill Billy.

I offered to buy several different 1990's sbk stuff but they quoted about $2500 per set. I countered at $400 per set X 8 sets (ZX7, Gsxr Yamaha, Ducati and Honda stuff)
    Never heard back
    Oh well....

Makes me feel good they assigned the molds a value higher than dumpster.

Look up Ben Beasley, he had Beasley fiberglass and went thru the same thing (closing) a year+ ago, Couldn't find anyone to take all the molds then so most were chucked but said he was saving "Some" if someone wanted them, it's worth a shot. he's in or was in Ohio.... https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100086148784789

I know he made a lot of 4 wheel racecar bodywork. Did he also do bikes?

I remembered the name from my racing days but never used his bodywork nor did I know anyone who did. It was always Sharkskinz and AirTech in my day. Hotbodies came along somewhere in there too and I remember hearing some not so good reviews about them as well but I think they’ve gotten better.

I remember JU’s team using them at some point. Not sure if they still do as I’m waaaay outta the loop now. :D

Yea, He did Sports racers/open wheel FA FC FF etc and bikes, drag and roadrace, Him and Kent were the only guys in the states who had those early 90's roadrace molds.
