You do know the world record is under 10s? Doing it in 17.08 is not much of an accomplishment Not trying to diminish his accomplishment though Sorta like the world record holder for top speed on a pedal powered bike using a motorized vehicle to tow up to speed and then used as a drafting aid. Not trying to diminish his accomplishment though
eff y'all. I'm impressed. Not enough to want to do it or consider it to be remotely sane, but still impressed.
Some of y'all dumbasses don't get that this is like Kawasaki building the H2-R. It won't win any championships because it doesn't fit the rulebook but they still did it because it's pretty damn cool.
An unbelievable accomplishment. It’s hard to fathom that this guy is the fastest person over distance, ever. I wonder what it must feel like to know that you are faster than 7 billion other people on earth.
might as well go ahead and diminish this while we're at it: https://www.npr.org/2019/10/13/7699...ashes-womens-world-record-at-chicago-marathon sub 2:15 women's world record. beats second place by 7 mins.
A guy that used to work here had a similar one that said no pain, no pain. If you ever met the guy it totally described him, I never met anyone with more of a defeatist attitude, it was painful to interact with him, he eventually quit.
Right! When I used to do triathlon, and also some running, My best 10K was 35:30, I think that was a 5:40/mile pace. (I was OK, no super fast either) His 1st 10K was 28:20? Then he did over 3 more of them. Even with the ways to shave some time off- STILL an awesome feet.
Just to summarize a 1:59 marathon distance is 422 - 100 meter dashes @ 17.08s 26.2 - 1 miles @ 4:35 4.1 - 10Ks @ 28:20 Any other division of distance I missed to make us know we ain't touching that marathon time. How about he ran at an average speed of 0.00000195% the speed of light Although I do feel I can run a 17.08s 100 meters. Maybe even 2 in a row, just sayin'
