Gday folks, Just wanting peoples thoughts on removing the secondary butterflies on the throttle assembly on my 2015 GSXR 1000 racebike? Worth it for the HP gain? Does the engine lose tractability? Would also removing the shafts improve things further? Cheers! Joe.
all the builds Ive seen retain them in a roadrace application. Now if youre dragracing or LSR... then yes it will help.
I've seen a couple of them go on the dyno with the plates removed, a 2006 and a 2011, and they both ran far better and made smoother power with the plates re-installed.
Yeah i thought as such. They are very smooth and thats a good thing for the tight bumpy tracks we have here in AUS, thanks for snapping me out of my delusions haha
