I absent-mindedly left out a glaring detail about the bikes crash history: my one lowside at Summit Point earlier this year. While I was searching for the updated pics, I made a mental note to write about that crash but got distracted. Occurred in June/July of this year. The frame sliders and the GBR engine covers did their job. The body work areas are repaired and painted a 'not-so-best-match' grey via rattle can. Not immaculate but nothing to hide either. This was always my spare/track duty bike. I'll get some pictures later today.
Uploaded pics; taken earlier this evening. Two things: - the styrofoam and zip ties were anchor points for the upper-rear of the side fairings. They came that way on the bike and I didn't want to drill holes either. - Silver duct tape over the DZUS clips on the belly pan. The 1 or 2 of the clips would vibrate lose so I kept tape over them (a tech guy told me adding another plastic washer to the male side of the DZUS clips might help snug them up). Both passed tech for CCS (roadracing school) and various track day orgs.
