Shitting my diaper, playing, having collick, hoping my dad wouldn't kill me after working all night at GM,as I cried all day..These are just guesses, and stories I was told later.
Almost 9 years old, watching every bit of it. I even built one of these that summer. It was magical for a kid that age.
I was busy riding my bicycle, getting paid to mow grass and pulling weeds to buy a Schwinn Sting Ray. Of course everyone watched it, if they had a TV. Some didn't.
I mean you "could" be right ..Ma was a loose Goose! Are you my daddy?? Now I'm Really not gonna sleep tonight!! And some asshole owes me alotta back child support, and creepy hugs!!
I believe I was watching the bullshit TV coverage at school, too bad it was just a massive hoax. It was impossible for NASA to send men to the moon at that time. We all got scammed.
You were in school at 4PM on a Sunday? https://www.kcra.com/article/moon-l...p.m. EDT Armstrong,p.m. EDT - The Eagle lands.
I was in Kingsburg CA driving a forklift, loading peaches on semis hauling them to the cannery in Stockton. Summer between sophomore and junior years at Berkeley. We had a little place to get out of the sun, with a black and white portable tv with rabbit ears (remember those?). Hotter than hell. At work at 6, stayed until the peaches quit coming in from the orchards. “One small step for man, one giant step for mankind” seemed a little, well, foreign to my experience.
Before i was reincarnated into the vessel i am inhabiting today, i was actually the cameraman who set the first step on the surface to film the first step being made. Well, as per Stanley’s directions, of course.
I was hit by a car the day before while riding my bicycle. It was my first day of 5 weeks on my back in traction.
It was the summer of ‘69 Neighbor had a drum kit, and we were busy emulating Ginger Baker / Cream. (Badly…)
I got my first real 6 string Bought it at the five and dime Played it till my fingers bled Was the summer of '69
