A friend was riding her F3 the other day, and the speedometer quit working. Also, she said that when she's at a constant throttle, it feels like it wants to stall. The bike sat for a few days between rides. Any idea what would cause this? I'm kinda thinking bad gas and maybe a clogged fuel filter, but i dont know. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
If it has a failed or dis-connected countershaft "speed sensor", that could account for both problems..
F3's don't read speed at the countershaft sprocket ...... The stumble at partial throttle sounds like a clogged pilot jet.
F3's run like crap if the insturments are disconnected, or the 2 wire plug that runs up the RH frame spar disconnects, not sure if it is a countershaft sensor or what, but they run like crap. Obviously could be the actual sensor as well, but check connections first. If both problems happened at the same time, this is definitely the issue.
