I recently relocated for work out of state and don’t do track days much anymore so no need for a dedicated track bike.

this is an ‘06 yamaha R6 I bought from Mach 1 in Newport Beach, CA several years ago. Their shop manager rode it in a few WERA west events for about a year after converting it to a track/race bike and purchasing from his friend. BILL OF SALE ONLY (no title). I’m a slow level 2 track day guy and easily ran 1:39’s at AAA speedway on this bike. I haven’t tracked it in about a year—so it probably needs some maintenance to go fast (eg. New tires, new chain, new brake pads, oil change). Bike Always garaged. Bike runs fine and has a brand new lightweight racing battery just installed.

I may be missing some mods but this is the short list:

    -fully safety wired
    -Scott’s steering stabilizer
-dynojet power commander and quick shifter
    -custom map by Mach 1
    -full yoshimura exhaust
    -motion pro throttle cable
    -ohlins fork internals
    -ohlins TTX rear shock
    - vortex rear sets (setup for gp shift now)
-gas tank covers, vortex gas cap
    -stomp grip tank pads
    -keyless ignition
    -frame sliders
    -woodcraft clipons
-brembo front brake radial master cylinder
    -ZG windshield
-race bodywork (not sure what brand) with D ring fasteners
    -GP tech seat
    -woodcraft engine sliders/covers
-rear wheel stand swing arm spools

Less than 4500 miles on engine
    -Asking $5k
-bike located in Houston, TX (if buyer wants to arrange shipping I’m comfortable with process as I’ve purchased multiple bikes out of state and had them shipped)

  2. FWIW. Better to get rid of the link to your photos. I think you'll piss people off.

    More pics available upon request.

You may recall the 2006 R6 was dominant in its debut… Revs to the moon (17k), factory slipper clutch…overall this is a really fun, fast, focused track bike for any novice or veteran

Which debut was that? When a SS prepped 2006 model was significantly down on power from the prev model? Do you have actual dyno data of the engine able to turn 17,000 rpms??
Does this bike have a VIN?

Yes I’m aware of the whole rev limiter debacle with yamaha. 16k, 17k, 18k…regardless bike still rev’d very high for it’s time which can make for a fun track bike.
Using google—you’ll quickly see it received lots of praise for its OEM equipment & race tech at the time.

VIN# stamped on headstock per usual, PM me for pic.

pro tip when selling a bike, part or other piece of equipment here... stick to the facts.
Not some bloviated opinion you "googled".
