    Hey All,

I went and looked at these today. With my limited Japanese, lots of pointing and brochures here is the skinny and how it relates to the CRF100 in the States and the NSF100.

The motard has the same wheels and brakes that come on the NSF. All three have the same motor. The Motard has a metal tank, speedo, lights and whatnot hence the extra 15lbs over the CRF. The springs are also stouter on the Motard (over the CRF)but I don't know by how much. I can't find any proof of that other than sitting on one right after the other. At the current exchange rate I can get it for $2795 which is about $470 over the CRF and you get the disk brakes to boot. I spent more than that (difference) to get 12" rims laced to my CR80 hubs.

I think I found an organization that runs minis over here on a kart track. I am going over this week to check it out.

The NSF is going to be a hard sell. A 10 year old 80 with 12 inchers laced up by east coast wheels will save you $3500 and run circles around it. That leaves quite a bit of cash to fool around with. But on that note, a few hot parts from Powroll (http://www.powroll.com/P_HONDA_XR100_01-04.htm) and the NSF would be quite a bit of fun....albeit you would have $7000 in it easy.

There are a couple of pretty neat bikes that are available over here but not in the states. Here is a translated link to the Honda Japan site. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.honda.co.jp/

Here are a few mini orgs (besides WERA Mini) that run full schedules. Edgewise Racing, SEMRA and there is an org up in DC that does some indoor stuff in the winter and outdoor in the summer. Can't think of the name right now but they also do some mini endurance as well.

Hope all is well with everyone.
