MotoGP | 2024 | Race 3 | USA | COTA | April 12-15

I was a Corner Marshal for at least a decade. I did all of the F1 races in Detroit back in the 80's. (Anybody remember the Trans Am Rousch turbo Mercurs and the 1.5 Liter Honda turbo F1's?) I did lots of SCCA and local club stuff too. The SCCA Runoffs in Georgia were pretty awesome. It's the best seat in the house and I would highly recommend it. I've had my picture in racing magazines met top name racers and when I was in the paddock The Pro's really have respect for corner workers and take the time to chat with you.

 

The days of Mr Honda are long gone.....

 

This was my first motogp event and first time at COTA. I had seats at turn 15 but roamed around the track friday and saturday. The front straight is a terrible view. Unless you are there just to be in vip or whatever, i dont see a reason to sit on the front straight.

 

anytime i saw a honda rep in the paddock, none of them looked happy. I dont understand how they fell off so much.

How good are Espargaro and Vinales at developing a bike? It can be argued that the groundwork for Suzuki becoming possibly the best bike on the grid was done by them.

It looks like the Aprilia is going in the same direction.

 

I hope they keep improving it. they went from laughing stock, catching on fire to contenders. Its saying something to beat the Japanese, but to be up against Ducati and KTM who probably has more hospitality budget than Aprilia Race dept.
