Wow, I didn’t realize they signed a 10 year deal. I wonder how many months they’ll be able to take off construction in the next few years, when do they start building it back up next year?

 

I heard they are considering building a new track just outside the city, lots of land available. This has really turned into a shit show. Hopefully the race goes on well.

 

All the "build outside the city" stuff is pure speculation right now, but it would be really cool for them to work something out with Exotics Racing / Speed Vegas and build out a larger course. It would likely drive up the cost to drive there, but there is plenty of open area to build one and even use some slight elevation change.
That course is already far better than the one Exotics Racing had at the LVMS parking lot, but it isn't suitable for much more than the driving experience stuff.

 

That is beyond stupid.

 

I guess al those years of Ferrari getting the special treatment are gone.

 

My DirecTV Stream service recorded "FP2" and the file is 4.25 hrs long. Not sure when FP2 started, and I had to skip over the first two hrs of the recording, but at least I have something to watch this evening.

Am I gonna have to not watch this race? I paid for an extra month of DirecTV Stream just for this weekend (otherwise, I would have cancelled at the end of the Braves' season [MLB]).

 

If you had a Friday only ticket, they offered you a $200 voucher to buy race merchandise. Any other ticket packages got nothing.

 

Interesting qualifying, both Williams cars made the final round. Charles on pole, Max will start beside him, if I was betting, Max leads the first lap.

 

Max and LeClerc disassemble each others car in the first three corners? Yuki and Stroll spin out due to debris on track they don't actually touch. Perez works his way up the pack only to make a bonehead maneuver. KMag , Hammy, Alo podium.
George, Lando, Piastre and Zhou have to get penicillin shots starting in a couple days.

It would appear that the ruling body was willing to make an exception in light of the circumstances of the incident in which Ferrari has a 0% responsibility. But another team cock-blocked the move.

I am feeling terribly conflicted over that. It's always a good thing to see Ferrari getting the shaft because it happens so rarely. But Sainz and the mechanics who had to build a car at an ungodly hour don't deserve this.
