If there were enough cars other than #3 and #24 and #48... Probably a couple of others who kept the same sponsors for years. Funny how Nascar was damned entertaining back when there *might* be a listing of the top ten finishers at the bottom of page D13 if there was room on Monday morning. Now, there's endless coverage of a very boring bunch of left turns. Careful what you wish for.
There's always something changed or new from year to year, especially with the mandated Nascar series sponsor stickers required on each driver's car.
Was listening to a motorcycle podcast several years ago and Dave Despain was the guest, discussing flat track racing amongst other things (maybe a couple of years before AFT took over). He was asked what it would take to make flat track racing mainstream in America. He answered: "Some people might not like me saying this, but I hope it never becomes mainstream. NASCAR used to be cool, now it's mainstream". BINGO!!!
They've always required the series sponsor on each car. Hell theres specific posititons and locations for all secondary sponsor decals. Has been for decades.
Any image from a wide enough frame of reference to identify the track (not to mention cover multiple vehicles) is going to render the fender stickers illegible.
Blaney had the red mist going at one point with Chastain, but then cooled down. I didn't see any coverage of Chastain either after the race.
I wonder if Chastain had his watermelon smash after winning? Congrats to Blaney, Penske gets another championship. Ford won all three series of Nascar.
I was entertained today. Kyle Busch finished 0.007 seconds behind the winner, which would have been the 9th closest finish in Nascar history. But he was third. Seven cars were not involved in wrecks.
