A buddy of mine is there doing Hooligans with an electric bike. He said in this heat, the bike only makes it 3 laps before it goes into 80% mode due to heat buildup. And that's with him cold soaking it in the Air Conditioned trailer all day before the session.

Going to be tough on the air cooled bikes.

With piston powered airplanes, they would always say it's the airflow that matters, not the temperature of the air. But we had the ability to richen up the mixture to keep the cylinder head temps lower.

 

They said even big SBK teams had overheating issues yesterday.

Today is going to be the race of attrition and suffering.
