Millie hates a bath but at the same time is more than willing to go play in a mud puddle. Go figure. After a bath, however, it's game on and she just wants to have fun.
My dog has the saddest face imaginable when she’s getting a bath, so pathetic, but she does sit there and take it well.
Brick thinks water is the Devils tears and “Bath” is the most horrible word in the world. Reference this past Feb. https://www.instagram.com/p/CoPyw1kL4Hj/?igshid=ZWQyN2ExYTkwZQ==
Just got back from a walk. My dog jumped straight up 3 ft when he was violently attacked by a huge king cobra .... er I mean got sprayed a tiny bit by a lawn sprinkler!!
When I first got Marley(1 year old, as a rescue) she was really, really, REALLY opposed to a spray handle on a hose! Which made giving her a bath more difficult. She's gotten over that, but still does not enjoy the process. But she sure does love the towel afterwards! And then she gets the zoomies!! So all is well.
My Ellie is a recue Beaglette and once her bath routine is done and she is dry, she likes to kick back with her toys.
All of mine get trained to walk into the shower on their own. They are kind of spoiled though and have their own steam shower. Half the time in the morning when I get done with my shower as soon as I open the door at least two try to get in with me.
Our Dobe’s get in the tub like a ballerina; Front feet step over into tub, and then their back (half) hops in. They sit while their (man) servant does their “hair”. We are sure they only do it cause the towel rubs feel SO good.
The most fun and sometimes infuriating one I had was in the first dog the wife and I got when we first got married. That little girl hated to be dirty and if she felt dirty, she would go sit in the tub and bark until you came and gave her a bath. Sometimes that was 4pm sometimes it was 4am. You just never knew. Little Carmen was a princess.
