Florida utilities are reporting that more than 300,000 customers have lost power, with the largest number of electricity outages in Lee, Collier and Sarasota counties, near where Hurricane Ian's eye is coming ashore. -NYT
In laws are hunkered down in Wimaumau...looks real bad. We moved to Texas in '16 so I never got to experience a hurricane. Gonna pass on moving back. Stay safe those who didn't evacuate.
Nobody slights the Coasties. They're the first to fly out under shit conditions to save some hapless fuck in his boat who ignored the weather warnings. So kudos.
sorry to hear =( They were Fords though, they weren't going to last much longer...i keed, hopefully the house can be fixed up quickly and everyone is safe
Sadly? What the hell man. On a serious note, I tell all my clients that I hope they never have to call me again. Unfortunately, statistics say that most will need me more than once in their lives.
F*%$K that. I talk smack about them all the time. And I routinely ignore Small Craft Advisories. Let them party/swimming fools earn their keep and come save me. They need rescues on their log or they wont get funding. Also Kelly you need to check out Nikko Ortiz on the youtube shorts. He's an ex Army guy doing short skits as army, navy, AF, marine and CG. He's funny as hell. and his CG guy is on point.

My GF is having to give weather updates/tracking info via cell phone from here in MD, to her sister that lives just inland of Siesta Key. They have lost power and internet, and are effectively in an information blackout.
