I've gone all over the country with racing and buying motorcycles so it was bound to happen. Woke up at 4am this morning to pick up a Sportster just north of Ann Arbor. Stopped to get gas in AA and got hit by that distinctive rear end diff smell. Ends up the seal from the rear diff to the shaft blew. In a shop now seeing what/when they can do anything. Worse case I can unload the Sportster and ride back to Louisville but then I have to come back up with somebody to get my truck. Oh well, that's life.
Holy crap, for a second there I thought this was a creative way to talk about having diarrhea at a convenience store!
Apex Mfg (affiliated with wera, ama, STT, and Little Tally) isnt too far from you. Richard, or Brock, might be able to aid you in rescue/help, ideas. Ski
If you're stuck there for dinner eat at Knights or Weber's . Weber's you can stay right there without driving.
Well, the first mistake was buying a Sportster. Don't compound the mistake by relying upon the Sportster to get you home. Hunker down in AA, enjoy the places and eats suggested herein and sell the Sportster. Cheers, Dave
Mom had a thing going with St Josephs...she expanded the clan there on several occasions. Ypsilanti was the hot spot back then.
Well Dave, I just got home and I'm beat, but that Sportster got me here. And it was a damn fun ride! Details tomorrow...it's been quite the day, I'm passing out now
