Which Daytona? They are hard to get but not worth paying a premium. Then again, The "list" is bullchit but people think it's real so. . .
The ceramic, white dial. We'll see. Even if I had the money, I wouldn't pay over msrp. It's insane at the moment. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Agreed!!! Which is why I'm not a fan of Rolex. They can take their "list" and, well, you get the picture.
Interesting topic. I had a Rolex Thunderbird years ago, wife bought it as a wedding present for me. Liked the look, but would stop if I didn't wear it for more than 2 days. Was stolen out of a gym locker about 7 years later. Wife was smart enough to insure it, and we actually MADE about $4k on it. . . . Now I'm getting an itch for something like this: https://certifiedluxurywatches.com/...less-steelyellow-gold-black-dial--16713-5903/ But am thinking I might find something much cheaper in a Seiko version, or other reliable Japanese watch. I like the black/gold/stainless look, with bigger bezel, also the day/date option, but in past watches I've had issues with keeping that in synch. This is nice too, and waay cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/Seiko-Black-...7141123011&psd=1&keywords=seiko+dive+day+date Any suggestions?
Newer Ceramic GMT in Gold/Stainless is the sh*t. Looks a lot better IMO than the older two tone watches, the bezel just matches up way better with the colors. Most will stop within a few days of not wearing them though being automatic A nice watch winder will cure that however for about a hundred bucks.
I love the GMT. I wouldn't be too interested in that used one since it doesn't have the box or paperwork or any recent service. The bracelet also looks a little loose. Have you considered the Tudor Black Bay? It is made by Rolex, costs less and you can usually get your hands on a new one without the wait for a Rolex. There are a few different styles. I have both the Rolex GMT and the new Tudor Pepsi and I have been wearing the Tudor more.
This: https://www.amazon.com/Mens-Tudor-H...7&sr=8-12-spons&keywords=tudor+heritage&psc=1 But almost as expensive as a used Rolie GMT II. The snob in me says go full-boat at that pricepoint, or be smart and go Seiko or something under $1g unless its a used Omega, Tag or Rolie. Can't see spending over $4k unless its a legit Rolex. . .
Agreed. At that price point you can get one with box and papers with hopefully less bracelet stretch. As TT are not the most sought after, you could probably negotiate a discount on a brand new one. Tudor rocks btw! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
