We just got home. He's drugged to the moon and so pitiful. He has puncture wounds to the back, and one hole for drainage. The right leg is a mess, lots of staples, and gotta hope he doesn't get infected. Thank you everyone for the well wishes, and prayers. This dog helped me through the worse times in my life a year back, and don't know what I would do without him. I gotta admit, though,if you use a retractable leash, you could end up in a mess like mine today. 4 dogs were involved, and the retractable leashes made a bird nest, and I will never use them again. I pulled my dogs back, but his kept coming, and tangled up with my two. Jack was at the bottom, and got ripped by both these dogs, and I couldn't get to him The owner lost his handle, and it tangled with my two
I'm with Bandit here, isnt it on the other guy to at least make this right financially if he can? I am on my way to church so I'll make sure to say a prayer for your Jack.
Sorry to hear that buddy. Hope they heal up well, nice dogs After being gone 2 weeks my golden retriever hasn’t left my side since I came home last night.
Shoot the owner, not the dog. Not going into the dungeon or off topic but sounds like you made the wise choice and used the split seconds to get your dogs safe. Blame the owner, not the dog. I hope you got his info and at least make it painful for him.
Oh man hope your little guy heals up quickly. Lots of public areas in town here don't allow retractable leashes anymore. But keep us posted on his progress!
I'm sorry about your fur baby. I hate to hear that. We have a pit mix and he does pretty well but at the park he gets a little crazy when he sees a small dog. I control him well but he is in training for this. If he seems to want to really go I wrap him up so tight that he can't go anywhere. Again man I'm sorry that happened
Hope your pup heals quick. We use retractable leashes on our three, but reel them in to a very short length well in advance of ANYONE approaching, human or canine.
How about basic decency towards the guy who was just asking for prayers for his dog? Is that a good enough reason for you to take that BS to a different thread? Where do people get this mentality that just because they can means that they should?
