Man, I watched him come up through CCS and to the AMA Pro. Seemed like a good guy and like others have said, a tough dude. Rest in Peace.
Sucks to hear this.... Sounds like he went through a lot. It seems maybe we need to look out for each other with regards to pain meds considering the injuries we face.... Btw nice write up in RRW.....one tough racer! http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/former-ccs-national-champion-santiago-villa-rip/
Also, condolences to those here that worked with and knew Santiago well. I'm sure this is tough news to hear.
RIP racer seems like I remember eating something about him a couple years ago having a couple nasty injuries and fighting like hell to bounce right back. Very sad news condolences to those who knew him.
Dammit. Santiago was one of my favorites that I got to ride with and get to know. He was a good soul that had a real passion for racing. I'm speechless. RIP my friend...
John, still like your story of him and Martin at Jennings. Excellent write up by Dave. Villa was just one of those guys that you always thought, who's riding his bike? Holy sh$t, it's him
This is horrible news. Joked with him and his "following" many times over the years. Great sense of humor and a nice guy. A dedicated racer has left us. So sad.....Godspeed and RIP wildman.
I read on RRW that he had quite the laundry list of injuries throughout his career...and he still raced (and did quite well might I add) while most were fresh and far from healed. Godspeed #32
I was at RRR when he crashed after being broken from homestead. Always a smile on his face what a fucking warrior. It won't be the same without him in the pits and in the track. Fuck... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
