Worst thing you've purchased on impulse?

I'm curious what everyone else has ever purchased on impulse.

I may have slightly, accidentally, made a major purchase completely on impulse the other day. I'm not having buyers remorse, because I don't know if its done yet, but... its big.

An Audi. Wasn't the worst by far.

Worst? I got ass F@cked on a video camera when Circuit City was shutting down.

 

In my case, a CBR900RR superbike. I had gone to that shop to drop off a pair of R1 wheels for powder coating.

 

Six years ago we almost finished all the paperwork to buy a new (already built) house from home builder A. The day we did our walk thru, I was told home builder A was bankrupt and there were liens on the house. My house was already sold and had three days to be out.

Went in to home builder B's sales office and bought a new (already built) home that day.

 

That's not impulse, man. You needed a house.

Used Porsche 944. Sold it a month later for exactly what I paid. Only lost out on taxes and tag fee.

Worst thing? Either the first triumph spitfire, the alfa GTV6 or that "chicken" on a stick from a street vendor in Asia when I was on the way to the airport. I'm gonna go with the chicken (or maybe it was beef).

 

It just felt weird finding and buying a house the same day.
