why doesn't WERA run at CMP

as in Carolina Motorsports Park?

 

Poor turnout. Not sure why since it is a good track and fairly close to many population centers.

Racers are stupid. That's a great track. It's got a little bit of everything.

 

would it bring you out of "retirement" (aka being a pussy? )

 

you would think with the new layout, garages, and the kart track, that it would be a better draw.

YUP! Track is great and the facilities are great. Lots of space in the paddock, and garages too. Plus they have an awesome cart track you can rent some really fast carts. I never understood it. Maybe it was just the timing of the round that was schedule.

 

My racing buddy is still rehabbing a shoulder. When he is ready to go back to the track we'll be back out. But yes...CMP was one of the rounds I always looked forward to for several reasons. The track, hanging out with Stick on his home turf and the 70 year old toothless chick at the Bojangles that likes to hit on Stickboy when we eat there.

 

Only a few sketchy corners. It has its fast parts and slow parts. A rather well put together layout except for all the rights. Lol

 

I went last year with ASRA/CCS and it was packed. Maybe if WERA did a double header there it would help.

And i know someone who could help set it up if people wanted to ride supermoto/minis after racing if they wanted to.
I vote we move the end of may roebling round there

 

CCS always seems to have a good turnout there.
Their round is coming up on April 12th & 13th.

 

Or maybe a National/sportsman round like Roebling

 

I'd be the first paying customer.

 

Only 3 hrs from Raleigh....One of my favorites, especially since they modified the last few corners.

 

I like it, was sad to see it drop from the schedule.
