Ditto for you and many others in this forum. Schwantz is a bit of an underdog here, and also put on a pedestal by enthusiasts, which this board is thick with. So people root for him, right or wrong. As you point out, some people have already made up their minds. No amount of argument will change that. Unless one has all the information, it's just conjecture.
Exactly, which is what a bunch of us are doing and enjoying. In the meantime for some reason peeps on both sides seem to be getting upset at that. Normal day on the BBS.
Nope. Not even close to an emotional response to this one sorry. Confused on many occasions at what people are posting but that's about it
All I know is from what I have read, McCombs and crew have a reputation for being money grubbing pricks that will screw their own grandmothers if it would make them a buck. Schwantz on the other hand has a reputation of being a guy that is true to his word and passionate about the sport. Right or wrong, based on this alone I will support Schwantz until facts come out that prove what I believe to be wrong.
somebody that spends 400 million on a racetrack has no passion for the sport.....................................rrrriiiiiiiiiiiiggghhhhtttt.
How much of that 400 million is their money? I can be (and have been) a cold hearted, unfeeling prick when spending other people's money in order to make ME money. Didn't ask for sainthood after just my cut.
Pretty sure CotA isn't the same setup as NOLA, Miller, or Barber where the principal dude put up his own cash. Oddly enough, all of those tracks and their owners are truly cool towards bikes.
All I can say about all of this is that our sport is hurting bad and we have way too many lawyers involved and too many people being greedy and those that really care and do what they do to promote the sport and keep it going get stomped on....some of us do still give our word as our bond.
