The bike sat for a while from previous owner who ran U4.4 and left some in bike So I decided to go through the bikes fuel system -Cleaned tank -Cleaned fuel pump -Cleaned minor risidual gum in airbox -Cleaned all injectors (on flowbench) Put bike back together and it was very hard to get started more so than it should have been. The issue is this: If i gradually open throttle it seems to go to redline with no problem but if I hold it at lets say half throttle and then wack it wide open the bike kind of stays at or below 10K but if i back off and feather a bit i can get to redline with no problem It also does that if i go from idle to WOT, it wont go unless I play with it a bit to get it there Anyone ever have any of these symptoms and have a suggestion? Thanks,
Year might be nice... Been a few different versions... When you describe the "issue" is that sitting on a stand or riding it?
On stand, hasnt been even remotely warm enough by me to try it on the road year, mileage, modifications, etc. all very pertinent info. 2009 R6r Full race set up SS build appx 500 miles since build Kit ECU, power commander for quick shifter
Its a return-less fuel system, they can take a while to purge if they are completely empty. Wait til the weather is nicer and ride it. Rev tuning an engine on the stand will not produce acceptable results. YCCT does not always behave predictably unless the engine is under a load.
so your saying it will clear up by riding? how far or miles till it does? this is a race bike so i cant really do to much on the street without the po po breaking my balls.. I need to bring it to get dyno tuned for different race fuels so I want to make sure it is running properly first
my plan is to race at CMP april 13-14 but before I make the 14 hour trip I want to be certain this clears up.... Dont think I can get to a track day before then guess it will have to go to Mark for more than tuning

no diapragms on that bike/year. as much as i love a technical/mechanical explanation for all things, i also subscribe to the "gotta beat on it a little" theory. despite it being completely street illegal you can surely get a few blocks of hoodlum-driving in without getting caught. so i suggest a little more than just revving it in the garage and perhaps report back prior to your departure. - jim
Follow Up ! OK guys , problem cured!!! Thank you to everyone for your help and a special thanks to "emry" for nailing that shit right on the head!!! Took the bike out with only a tank on it, (damn hard to sit on that subframe w/no tail) Could only do quick blasts up and down the block as it started to clear up I got ballsy and decided to hit the main rd for a bit more of a stretch...after two rounds of 1/2 mile drags , she started running awesome hopefully she stays primed and ready to go....I will try it again in a day or 2 to make sure Thanks again fellas!
